First test done and over with

So here I am once again typing to my many viewers on the internet. I'm sure some of you are wondering how Medic school is going. Well, to be totally honest with you, it isn't too bad. Since last Thursday, I have learned a lot about the Ethics and Well-Being that go along with being a paramedic. I read those chapters in the last couple of days. Boy oh Boy let me tell you that it was fun. Let's just say I'm glad we are moving onto Airway Management now. Now we get to start all the fun stuff, and I bet it will be. Anyways, we had our first test on Tuesday, and it really wasn't all that shabby. It was full of nice little questions and scenarious straight out of the book, so really it wasn't all that bad. As long as I didn't miss more than 37 questions, I'll move on without having to take the test over again, which I don't think I did. So hope and pray. I'll be checking in with all you crazy cats later. -James

X-box, Caffine, and my buddy Tim

I know, I know. It's been a freaking long time since I've updated this. So school went well and I got through finals. Now I'm at home learning about drugs and memorizing 44 of those. Tim is over now and I've gotten him addicted to Halo 2. Ah such memories of the first time he became addicted to something. Anyways, He's happy doing that. I'm nursing a headache probably from caffine withdrawal. So yeah...My friend Cory is coming over later tonight and we'll do something fun. Anyways, Peace out. I'll update you all soon.

Is it Sunday Alredy????

Man have I had a long week. It all kind of began with this last Tuesday. I had an interview with AMR, the ambulance service in Billings, at which I had to take a written test, practical test and then a job interview. I got done with that at about noon and then at 2, I had a math test. I did pretty fair on that, by the way. On wednesday, I had an A&P test. It was kind of hard, only because I had 3 hours of sleep in me. Anyways, I got an A on that test, which really amazed me. But then on Friday, oh wonderful friday, we had a Medical Terminology test which wasn't all that bad. So as you can tell I am still kind of exhausted. I really haven't done too much this weekend. My friends Chris, Sara, Cody, Kasey and myself went to the downtown district and we explored. It was a lot of fun. We found a local brewery that also sells really good food for a reasonable price, and don't worry, I didn't try the local brew. However, the Ceasar salad was really good. But now I'm at sunday, and I wonder where the weekend went. My week won't be all that hard, which is nice, but I do need to start studying for an A&P lab that is in a couple of weeks. Anywho, I'll talk to you all later. Peace.

Sleep why do I always have to miss out???

So last night, as I was starting to sleep, I began to dream, and I remained in one all night long. Anyways, I woke up around 0600 and started my day. Went to school and did that whole gig, which wasn't all that bad. I got an A on my Medical Term Test, and I got an A on my A&P quiz. Wow, I may actually be learning something in my classes. Oh well, that was school. Now I'm just chilling in my room and working on the 140 medical terms I have to learn for my test on friday. Anyone feel my pain. Question of the night : "So if the sky was purple, what would happen to the rest of the colors on the world, and what would we look like?" Have fun.. Later.

Sleep...the one thing I never seem to get

So I tossed and turned all night long, then I started dreaming for like 3 or 4 hours.. The next thing I noticed was that it was 6 am (0600) and I'm hearing the dump trucks load up...... Anyways. I crawled out of bed, did some pushups, and decided that I was too lazy to go running this morning. But this morning is the beginning of a new schedule, including all of my only 3 classes I have this semester. YAY. but I hope ya'll have a good day. Peace out dudes.

What I learned in school today.

So...today was pretty good for the most part. I got a 100% on my first A&P quiz, but then we started watching a video about chemistry and I got really really confused... Thank God we are going to lecture on it this week. Medical Terminology was pretty good, we talked about documentation and clinical forms. We also talked about SOAP format, which I love and already use, however I was confused when my instructor told us that we should never, ever, use r/o or "rule out" in our documentations. Man, i know medics that have been in this business close to 20 years and they use it all the time. My buddy said at AMR, he was told to use it. But whatever. Then I had a 2hr break and that was pretty fun, ate some food, chilled, talked w/ new friends. Then 1pm hit. My stomach sank and I think my intelligence actually dropped. We learned how to switch between multple screens and also how to create a folder...ok... Finally, the last class came, Medical Math. We did more exercises with 24/hr clock time, or military time. We then learned a little about decimals, and how they were important, which I find totally true when I found out that two years ago, insurance companies, doctors, and hospitals had to put out 2.5 billion dollars due to bad math and people giving the wrong amount of drugs... Anyways...that was school...sounds like fun. anyone want to become dumber, come here. Peace out.
